Spring has certainly outdone itself this year.  It's as if nature is compensating us for all the eathquakes we've had. The city is an artist's pallette of spring blossoming trees and flowers, colour abounds everywhere and the few remaining birds still here are industriously building their nests in  broken house roofs and in trees.  The two big snowfalls during winter are practically wiped from memory as warm sunshine flows in through the open doors and windows.  At last, my creative juices are beginning to thaw into top gear  after being dormat for the last 7 months of continuing after shocks.  I am keeping up with latest technology and at present busily posting my children's books to Amazon's E-Books.  The way to go so I've been told - time will tell.  My new baby budgie has grown up and is sitting by my computer singing in my ears. He's learnt how to whistle like a canary, do telephone rings and loves zooming low over people's heads when they don't any notice of him.  He's great company, even more so, now that my daughter and family have moved to Adelaide to live.  Skype sure is great!! It's amazing!!! I remember when my parents got our first telelphone and we had morse code type of numbers ( 'S'  after the number was ours -three short rings.) Nowadays we have mobile phones that do all manner of things!
